Two-Way Synchronization
The integration isn't one-way: you can upload documents from Business Central to your Drive, but you can also attach documents that already exist in your Drive directly to Business Central records.
BC → Drive: Automatically generated documents (invoices, orders, delivery notes) are sent to your Drive with their corresponding folder structure and metadata.
Drive → BC: Attach external documents stored in your Drive (signed contracts, payment receipts, certifications) to the relevant Business Central records without duplicating files.
Integrated Viewing
Business Central connects to your Drive using standard APIs to access, view, and manage documents stored in libraries without leaving the ERP. Files linked to specific records are available for viewing and previewing in an integrated dashboard within Business Central, maintaining consistency of permissions and metadata between both platforms. This optimizes the document workflow by eliminating the need to switch between applications and reduces manual file management.
Automatic Folder Organization
The system automatically creates a folder hierarchy in SharePoint according to your business rules. Each document is categorized and stored in the correct location without human intervention.
Define your own organizational structure: by customers, vendors, projects, departments, fiscal years, or any combination you need. The solution automatically replicates this structure in SharePoint and maintains consistency with the data in Business Central.
Order Traceability
Thanks to advanced metadata management in SharePoint, all files linked to Business Central are automatically tagged with keys such as order number or other customizable categories. This allows you to effortlessly filter, search, and group related documentation, streamlining historical data retrieval and improving operational traceability.
